On an electric powered car, make the drive shaft(s) into high power electromagnetic battery chargers. While driving on one set of batteries in the front of the car, the batteries are being charged in the back of the car. When the batteries in the front of the car are depleted, switch over to the batteries in the back of the car while the ones in the front charge. Add in a computer controlled circuit for switching circuits on the batteries.

There is a fundamental problem with this idea. To get a rotating shaft to generate electricity you have to use magnetic forces that would cause resistance to the rotation of the same rotating shaft. The electricity you generate will be less than you are using to make the shaft turn. You could do this when going downhill. This concept is already being used in regenerative braking. This uses the braking system to generate electricity by using strong magnetic forces (resistance) to generate electricity when braking. This slows the vehicle just as your idea would.

no need, a good circuit will have the ability to get the back-emf (electro magnetic field) and charge the other batteries..;)

Electromagnetic induction is how most electrical power is generated. A rotating or moving magnet inside a coil of uninsulated wiring causes electrons to move through the wire, creating electricity. This is how to build a battery charger from such a property. With any electricity, there is always some risk of electrocution. However, because the voltage and amperage is so low in projects such as this, the risk is so small as to be considered non-existent. You have a better chance of winning the Powerball lottery jackpot two drawings in a row than being directly electrocuted with a project like this. However, if you have been directly electrocuted before by merely holding a watch battery or a AA battery, then you may wish to avoid this project.
