Have you ever been lying in bed next to a sleeping person wanting to watch TV, but NOT wanting to disrupt the other person? This will do the job. Polarized TV will allow you to allow light to travel in a single direction towards the you. This blocks light from traveling to the sleeping person, but lets you watch TV. This technology would most likely be on 3D shutter TVs because the shutters are already on the TV. Also, it would be advisable to wear a Bluetooth headset with this tech to further keep the sleeping person from being disrupted. Maybe if connected to Kinect, it will automatically adust the viewing angle by recognizing where your eyes are.
