Bread lasts longer if you store it in the fridge. Unfortunately it also takes up a lot of space.

I would like a refrigerated bradbox where I could keep my bread (or a sixpack of beer in a jam), and that actually looked good on my counter.

Bread actually goes stale faster when cold. The yeast molecules freeze at slightly-above room temperature and the crystallization of them is what causes staleness.
