It would be interesting if our cellphone or PDA will beep when there is a friend nearby. I think it's possible by using bluetooth technology, but have no idea. Anyone know similar technology existed?

In Japan, a few years back a product came out called getsekksu or something like that. Basically you could program in what kind of physical activity you wanted (kissing, sex, etc.) and then it would start beeping when you came near a person of the opposite sex who was looking for the same thing. As you got nearer to the person the beeping would grow louder.
