Ultimate Railroad Cross-Tie
Grind up old automobile tires. Mix this with some sort of resin and pour into cross-tie molds containing reinforcing frame, if necessary and embed noncorroding anchor studs for the rail tie down plates.

This would solve the problem of getting rid of unwanted auto tires and prevent the cutting of tens of thousands of trees currently used for railroad cross-ties also would save man hours replacing ties by extending the life of the ties.
