Sink with built-in pop up assembly

Sink with built-in pop up assembly

Postby forget4872 » Thu Jan 24, 2008 3:59 pm

If anyone out there has ever tried to install a bathroom sink with one of those pop-up assembly's, you would know that 9 times out of ten it will leak right after first assembled and need some extra tightening or adjusting. When your paying a plumber to install this contraption by the hour it can get costly. I propose a sink with a built in pop-up assembly. No more fussing with plumbers putty, Teflon type, crawling into small cabinets to tighten nuts. The sink will be molded with the pop-up assembly. Just set the sink in place with the built in pop-up assembly fitting into the "P" trap, tighten collar and your done. Less leaks, less time, less fuss!

Reward: Sorry, I would want 1% of sales because these things would sell like hot cakes.

Great idea. The manufacture would have to have a few different models that coordinate with customers' faucets. What would work even better would be a "pop-up" mechanism that is manufactured in the sink and the finish parts (chrome, gold, brushed nickel etc.) could be attached with the faucet. You would be able to market it more efficiently.

That's the whole idea! To have the pop-up assembly "BUILT INTO THE SINK"! All the faucets out there come with the "POP-UP PULL/PUSH LEVER", if the pop-up assembly is BUILT INTO the sink then just connecting the pull/push lever, from the faucet, to the BUILT-IN POP-UP assembly, in the sink, and walla! The sinks could come in an array of different styles and colors, and with each sink there would be one of each different finishes ie; chrome, brass, nickel, bronze, ect. tops to the stopper, which will be threaded and easily swapped out to match any desired finish available.
