I suffered with this for 44 years and then 17 years ago I solved the problem with a bed configuration like this: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y230/IGrissom/AponeaBed.jpg No longer an insomniac because I now fall asleep almost instantly and sleep so comfortably that I never toss & turn during...

YES but my car is made out of recycled cardboard, uses no gas, has no keys, doesn't have enough mass to do any damage, and wouldn't cost more than $5 -- perfect for drunks! LOL

He's right, that's exactly like an electric motor works, however, I think I know what your train of thought is and your "mag motor" would actually work if you reduced the stroke (stroke is the distance the pistons move up and down) of the engine to about 1/2" or less. Your mag motor w...

Of course, the ultimate solution would be to eliminate the need for check points -- I really live to see that day. Meanwhile, existing hybrid and MagLev (Magnetic Levitation) motor assisted automobile drive trains already solve this problem. For conventional cars there is an available MagLev motor/g...

One more thing about Hayes modems, shortly after I finished the evaluation, lighting came down my 80' amateur radio tower on the hard line coax and blew a large hole dead center through the 2400 baud Hayes modem. This was not even remotely covered by the warranty but I mailed it back to them anyway ...

Hayes did something similar to this on their 2400 baud modems in the BBS (Bulletin Board Systems) days (80's) before the internet was invented by Al Gore ;) --(That's an insider American political joke -- against popular belief, Al never really said that). This is really expensive for what it does b...

And now you know why I posted my compliment PiesRound. There are carbon based units on CP that know far more than you or I will ever know and you need to come to grips with that. You and I are incredibly ignorant compared to the top million brains in the world and the only thing you proved with your...

I've never seen so many flawlessly competent technical responses to such a simple CreativityPool post until now. I'm soooooo tempted to start asking anti-gravity/time travel/quantum physics questions while you people are hopefully still monitoring this site. Well done! ;D

Can you imagine teenagers, while talking on their cell phone and listening to Metallica, flying through a controlled airspace chock full of airliners with 400 to 500 passengers on each plane? That's SCARY! I came so close to a head-on mid-air collision in 1983 that I could read the map in front of t...

In October 07 I completed a patent search on pop-top carbonated beverage can-ends and there are three pressure gauges and all were patented by the same inventor. The problem with pop-top inventions is that over 300 BILLION beverage cans are sold annually and the addition of a pin-head amount of alum...

Eyeglass displays like I mentioned above were on demo at the 1985 Dayton Amateur Radio Convention where I was able to wear them for a few minutes. The displayed image is hard to see unless you focus your eyes as if reading a newspaper. This allows you to switch your focus back and forth between disp...

Strange you say that Aaron.. I've never lost weight -- only gained. My new photo is my heaviest ever. I'm 6' 3" and now 203 pounds! At this rate it won't be long before I make Jabba the Hut look anorexic.
