One of the biggest problems in professional baseball is the number of broken bats which very often send bat pieces with sharp edges towards players, coaches and people in the stands. My simple solution is to wrap the bat with strong tape with a couple inch gap. The tape won't effect how hard the ball is hit, but if the bat breaks the pieces will be held together.Reward: I am an unemployed draftsman and if the idea caught on I would like a job lead or 2.
My idea is to have a snowboard slash mountain skateboard with big wheels and make it so you can be going down a snowy hill then on the board theres a button so as you go down on snow if theres a road or dirt, or rocks press the button then BOOM wheels pop out then you can press it again and it back to a snowboard.Reward: get one free and you get credit
I would like to have a foldable badminton racket :). Some say that the folding can impact the strength of the racket but that can be addressed by the design, right? Just like what they did with foldable bicycles!
Now I wonder why nobody ever came up with this one...If you have EVER been biking with a mixed group of people, you'll have noticed that it's always the same thing: the guys wait for the girls, the girls wait for the smokers, those with the coolest equipment wait for those with the... well, uncoolest equipment. The bike handicapper solves this issue by making biking a social experience again (if it ever was). You attach the handicapper to the hub, enter the handicap of the OTHER guys, and the device will make pedalling harder for that person. If done correctly, everybody will be able to workout as much as they like, while they can still bike in a group. With a properly adjusted bike handicapper, an athlete could be even riding beside a five-year old and both would get their adequate training.
