Submissions that have been rejected by the Creativity Pool. - The Docks aren't necessarily the final destination, if a broken idea gets fixed it may travel to a more appropriate category.

All of today's electrical breakers shut off, or trip, when they encounter electrical problems that you have too solve by going down stairs or out too the garage too fix and reset them.
I say we can make breakers that would only trip if the first line of defense is broken. That first line of defense is my new Breaker idea.
My Breaker sends back all the overload of electricity to the source of the power weather it is from the pole outside your house or the batteries in your boat. A battery can not burn up with this breaker because it will either recharge or obsorb the extra electricity since it will never create more electricity coming back to it than it sends out.
If you find your house or appliance needs more electricity than the battery or outlet provides than, you need a bigger breaker in the fuse box.
A Fuse is basically the same thing as a breaker for you information. In America, the Fuse Box contains Breakers.
We could include these Breakers or Fuses in the Appliances instead of the Fuse Box if this idea poses some problem that I can not forsee with this idea.

From what I know about fuses, they provide a default breaking point to make sure no other more expensive and hard-to-fix parts melt when the voltage (or current?) rises beyond a healthy level. Wouldn't returning the electricity back to the sender defeat exactly that purpose? (Apart from the fact that if you try to charge a non-rechargable battery it can explode.) Also, how would the breaker revert the flow of electricity in the first place?

We just take the electricity, that would normally go back to the power lines and save it in re-chargeable batteries for back-up electricity when, we have a brown or black out. That way, we are never with out electricity.
And when, we blow a breaker it can kick in, automatically and we would still know to reset the breaker.
Like when you blow dry your hair in the morning and you have no clothes on, you don't have the time to run down to the dirty basement and reset the breaker. Right? ;-D
