I have often wondered why there is not a greater variety of pasta shapes out there. OK - there are a ton of variants along penne/rigatoni/spaghetti lines, but how about something more interesting (in the way that alphabet soup is more interesting).

Pasta is made from dough, so in principle it could be moulded into any shape or size you like.

We could have pasta bunnies for Easter, pasta Santas for Christmas and any number of other shapes for holidays, special occasions or jokes.

Reward: A year's supply of creatively-shaped pasta.
