Advertise for free and never pay for someone else to bring the information to the patrons of your establishment again. A better way to bring the latest news about your products directly to the consumer, right when they are near your establishment that second of that day. You could do all the advertising for your business on the local ad station that broadcasts only advertising for that business and you hear if there are sales or what is new or going out of stock or new hours or just about anything a consumer needs to know. Imagine, if you had a small or, any size business and no one read the Sunday paper to see the specials. They would only need to listen and instantly know what your store has to offer while, they are right there in front of your business or, just passing by or, about to go by. You could pull in business like mad! Tons of shoppers would listen to see what you had to offer them. Also, what if you were new or were hard to locate. You would get recognition and you could add directions to your store. The local businesses could, pick out an un-used radio station and then, with in a certain distance, you would transmit your signal to the people shopping but, passing up your store for the lack of advertising and recognition from the radio. A small transmitter is, cheap to buy and easy to set-up. It would work with any bodies radio and bring in more business than, you could handle. The number one, way, to advertise right from your store to, the consumers radio while, they are all ready close to your front door.

I like the basic idea, but I have no clue how this should work. People listen to radio advertisements because they're wrapped in music and news and they're too lazy to switch channels. Once however there's more than 5 minutes of advertising in one block, the decline in listeners gets dramatic. So why would anyone want to listen to an amateur station that broadcasts advertising only, or where you just hear noise because there happens to be no short-dsitance advertiser around? Media control of course is a different matter, just think of all the *beep* and *beep* Shops (just two mention two) who would like to jump on this bandwagon. 8-o

You basically set up a time when all businesses share time as you pass their store at a certain distance on the same advertising channel when you go by a store or down main street you tell everone the deals for today and then everyone would want to come in to buy all the stuff on sale and that way both the consumer and the businesses win.
Each business picks a time or length of space to broadcast and they all keep their own space seperate by distance in broadcast range and they share one channel that everyone can share and know that is not a common channel but, an entirely different channel from other stations.
Advertisers and businesses have their own station that you can tune into to hear what the business has too offer.
