| Electric car motors enhanced 
Currently electric cars use one big motor to run all four wheels as a replacement of the engine. Why don't they use 4 DC brushless motors? 1 on each wheel would make the car more efficient, also using fuel cell stacks would solve power problems, plus because there DC brushless heat output would be reduced.My theory is that a dc motor could be made so that the middle bit with the turns of wire could be inside the wheel itself with an outer casing with the magnets on that the final wheel and tire bolts onto. This would allow for a relatively simple conversion from internal combustion to electric.I have 3d models and image if you want them.Reward: Credit if found useful

| "Metrocab" or "Urbanflow" taxi/bus transport
Getting around in the city is often tedious or expensive (most often both!). A combination of bus and taxi would be a welcome reprieve to the frequent inconvenience of the bus and the high rates of a cab. Small shuttles would be deployed daily. Patrons could rent buzzers/pagers of this service by the day, weekend, week, or month. Basically, it would act as a group taxi that could be called to a specific location at any given time (decided by hours of operation, of course). Customers would be picked up wherever they desired and would be dropped off at their exact destination (as opposed to a bus stop that a bit of hike to their home). Once a customer activated their pager, the shuttle driver's computer system would alert him/her to the call. The customer's pager would have a locating device, allowing for precision of direction. The shuttle driver would respond by paging the customer with an estimated time of arrival, allowing for him/her to know how long of a wait there will be. If any customers paged for a ride while the driver was en route to pick up another customer, the driver would page back how long it would be before said pickup.These drivers would have to operate regionally and be connected with one another. This would be helpful to customers (obviously), in addition to providing group transport that cuts down on pollution. It would be particularly helpful in urban areas and college towns.Reward: a few free rides.

| Pod cars
I feel it's time to step way back and re-think our entire transportation system.
Mono rail trains or public transport is nice, but most people don't bother because they still have to get to the depot. If we use the technology we have, we could run a single track everywhere there is now pavement, right to every garage. Wow you say, but how much do we spend now to pave and repave?
What sold me is the endless and amazing list of benefits to this: No more drunk drivers because a computer could be programed to drive the car!(big one), An end to our dependence on foreign oil!(nother big 'un). Much less need for continental air flights! (These monorails could get to California almost before you made it to the airport and got through security)(oh, yeah and decrease terrorist threat by hijacking.) Decrease or eliminate exhaust emitions! (Oh 'nother big 'un). No need for individual car insurance, cause nobody is driving. You could sleep, read, drink or whatever on the ride there. You could send your pod to be maintained, send it to pick up your kids (with onboard camera), send it to get groceries or pizza from the automated store, or send it off to be parked until needed. They could be "parked" on all levels of a high-rise building!
I could see main tracks dedicated to un-interupted long range flow elevated and capable of high speeds. Friction could be reduced to nothing with air cusions or reverse magnets.
Imagine the economic surge when middle class familys didn't have to pay for gas, tires and insurance.
I am not a scientist, but I do think outside the "box" and I know the technology exists, but it's the benefits that keep this idea etched on my brain.Reward: peace of mind
