Reusable Carryout Containers Printer Friendly Version
A reusable container to use at restaurants to take leftovers from the restaurant home in. The restaurants could charge a one-time deposit fee for the container that the customer could use each time they visit the participating restaurant(s). This would be an alternative to styrofoam carryout containers, which would reduce the amount of styrofoam carryout containers in landfills. Restaurants could reduce their overhead by not using styrofoam carryout containers, save money and increase repeat customer volume by possibly offering incentives to customers who use their re-usable (embossed) carryout containers on their next visit!!

Sterile Cover for a Grocery Carriage Printer Friendly Version
When my son was born I became this huge germo-phobe. It slowy wore off but something did come to mind. As my son grew older, we would go to the grocery store and I would see all the moms placing a huge blanket into the carriage to protect the baby. I tried that and realized that it didn't stop my son from biting and putting his mouth on the handle you use to push the carriage. Yes, they now have sterile wipes when you walk into the store but most people don't know that you have to use them a certain way in order to kill the germs.
My invention is a plastic covering that will fit on any grocery cart, very similiar to the slapstick bracelet made in the 80s. It can fit right in your purse, because it will shrink down to the size of an umbrella and you just take it out, pull it apart and slap it onto your grocery cart handle. They can come in different colors and characters, and when your child bites down you know it is clean. You can take it home and clean it yourself. I love this idea!

Oenophile's petit barrique Printer Friendly Version
Instead of selling wine in a bottle or box, some of the producers should consider selling them in small casks (2 - 3 L). The material of the cask must be the same as what the manufacturer would have used to age the wine in their own cellar.
The main idea is to allow buyer the freedom to age the wine at his own home in a cask that is made from the same wood as the one manufacturer would have used. This way someone can buy the wine in this mini cask and age it as long as he or she likes.
This way people would not need to pay a large amount of money for a good quality wine only if they are willing to be patient. Also after the initial investment they will have a high quality wine available to them for any occasion.
