Mobile for the elderly Printer Friendly Version
There's an entire generation out there that would desperately need mobile phones, but they are more or less barred from their use. I'm talking about elderly people who would love to have a mobile for certain situations, but today's phones are so small and the buttons even smaller that they simply can't use them.
What I am thinking of is a simple device with just a couple of picture buttons - one for calling the doctor, one for a taxi, one for the grand daughter etc. The grand children (or the mobile shop) would program those buttons once and even old people with bad eyes and shaky fingers could easily handle such a device.
Reward: Such a mobile for free for my parents who will need it by the time it has been invented

The Stupidest Robot Printer Friendly Version
A walking, talking idiot of a robot that is a total pain in the butt to control and take care of. Like having a new baby or a new DVD player with no instructions. You tell it one thing and it does another. It could talk like Bevis or Butt Head, talk to itself or be annoying. Tell bad jokes and swear alot. Mainly, you could program all the bad habits of anything and anyone or, have it call itself someone you don't like and then, tell it to say "I am a dumb ass!"
You would finally have a good reason to abuse someone; the Robot. Take it all out on the Robot. No more stress when you can yell at something like this.

Revised Keyboard Printer Friendly Version
Did you know that standard letters on a keyboard are not set up to make it easier to type but the opposite. They were arranged early in the 1900's to make it the hardest to use for a specific odd reason and that has never changed?
If we arrange the letters around and place the letters used most (for instance) at the easiest point to type them then we would have a better and faster keyboard. I say we go a step further and rearrange the entire keyboard (not just letters) and add extra enter buttons, space bars etc. in different areas making multiple spots for the easiest places to hit the keys when and where appropriate. Also, I would like to not have to program all the function keys to do different things but combine certain used combinations of keys into one key, like one key for Control/Alt/Delete and other commands. The faster we can work the more gets done!
Reward: To make typing easier...
