A Dastardly Invention to Control Cats Printer Friendly Version
Tired of raucously fighting and mating cats waking you up at two am in the morning?
How about this dastardly scheme to keep cats in their homes at night - I am sure all cat owners will appreciate this one! I need someone to invent a mechanism whereby, when a cat triggers a tripwire, about half a bucket of harmless to cats but very indelible red dye tips onto the cat. Dripping with red dye, it wanders off home, in through the cat door, and walks all over the owner’s carpets leaving a trail of indelible red footprints, and as an added bonus, curls up on the owner’s best bedspread. If many people in suburbia set these cat-dyeing devices out at night in their back yards, I’m sure most cat owners would soon decide to keep their cats indoors at night.
And now, with my white lab coat on and chuckling manically to myself, it’s back to my master plan to seize the night back from those fiendish felines and take control of the universe!

Doggy-Tracker Printer Friendly Version
Using a miniature transmitter/reciever and G.P.S. (Global Positioning System) technology, the whereabouts of your beloved pooch is relayed to your mobile/cell-phone in real time and to the nearest metre, via text messages. Special warnings would be activated if the dog went beyond a radius specified by the exasperated owner! This device would be attached to the muts' collar. Doggy's under tabs at all times. Howwwwlll, howlllll!
Reward: A free airline ticket to U.S. from Ireland.

Play ball with your dog, without you! Printer Friendly Version
If you have really energetic dogs at home, but you never have time to play with them, or you're too tired, this is perfect for you. It is a machine that plays fetch with your dog(s). Place it in a corner of your yard, put a time you want it to play, then let it loose. It has 10 tennis balls in a compartment inside it. Inside those balls are powerful magnets that get attracted to the machine when the machine runs out of balls. Like the machines you see in tennis courts, it will throw the balls in many directions at intervals of 20 seconds, plenty of time for your dog to chase them. Then it will neatly pick the balls up, leaving your yard balls-free.
Reward: get it for free, the ability to use it in a science fair without getting sued.
