Concert reminder service Printer Friendly Version
A service desperately needed is a concert reminder service: you create a profile where you enter your location as well as the bands you like, and the system will send you an email as soon as it's known that one of "your" bands is coming to town. Getting an email along the lines of "Hey Steve, we just got word that The Kills will be coming to town next April - secure your tickets now" would be just so much nicer than reading in the newspaper how The Kills rocked the local club this past weekend.
Needless to say that anyone providing such a service could earn a ton of money by providing links to ticket companies, so I'm really somewhat surprised that something like this doesn't seem to exist (yet).

Political candidate background information database Printer Friendly Version
We need a website that lists all registered candidates for upcoming elections and that provides potential voters with as much information on each candidate as possible, such as their:
-voting history, if already a politician

-education

-affiliations and associations

-criminal record

-stance on issues (major and minor)

-articles written about them

-awards, commendations, etc.

-criticisms of their actions and policies

-ideology

-biography

-achievements

-any controversy involving them or their actions or those of their associates

This website must meet the following criteria:

-not-for-profit

-does not recieve corporate or political funding/contributions

-non-partisan, and as unbiased as possible

-moderated and cross-referenced for accuracy

-easily accessible to anyone

-free

-easy to navigate

-well 'advertised' via public service announcements to maximize awareness of the service
The idea here is to educate and thoroughly inform voters so that they know all about who they are voting for, so as to not get screwed by greedy or flip-flopping politicians. We need third-party information that is more trustworthy (fact-based) than what the politicians speak of themselves, because they will often say anything to get voted into office. Once they are in, they can do whatever they want even without the approval of the people who voted for them; so being able to estimate a candidate's pros and cons can be an invaluable tool in ensuring true democracy and representation.
I hate voting because I never know anything about 95% of the people on the ballot and therefore vote for the most familiar name (which is almost always the candidate with the biggest campaign budget) or based on party affiliation. I always feel like I'm giving my car keys to someone I just met...not a good idea; And it is way too hard and time consuming to research all the given candidates.
Reward: informed votes = more accurate representation = better politics!

"Whatever You Want" Restaurant Printer Friendly Version
People across the world strive for variety in food. When they go to one restaurant or order from one outlet one of the members in the group has to compromise since that member wanted food from the other outlet but since others are going to that particualr outlet he also has to follow them for company.
'Whatever You Want' is a restaurant or outlet where customers will be served from different restaurants or outlets from a single outlet. Benefit to the customer is he gets variety in menu not from single vendor but multiple vendors and delivery to customer will be at same time. A service fee needs to be charged from customer for variety and discounts could be asked from outlets and restaurants in the nearby area to get the business model working.
Logistics need to be worked out but I think this will certainly add a lot of vairety in once meal something like Burger from McDonalds, a Taco from Taco Bell and salad from local restaurant. By giving this service customer gets best of all in a single meal.
Reward: Recognition for the idea.
